Health tourism hotels to open in Azerbaijan's liberated territories

Hotels specializing in health tourism will begin operating in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, Elgun Javadov, Head of the Cultural Heritage and Regional Tourism Department at the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, told journalists, Report informs.

Javadov highlighted ongoing developments in health tourism in the liberated territories and Baku.

"Construction has already begun on various hotels that will specifically focus on health tourism, and they are expected to open in the coming years. Hotels of this kind are beginning operations in Kalbajar and Zangilan.

At the same time, an area in Baku is planned to be developed in the future to bring together hospitals specializing in medical tourism.

In other words, efforts in this direction are continuing. This is not something that can be achieved overnight. It requires cooperation with both local and international partners," he said.
