"Today, we conduct a balanced policy between Russia and Ukraine, and continue the dialogue with both countries," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in a meeting with Japanese journalists, Report informs.
"But we also defend the international law. Turkiye was the first country to term these events as a war," he stressed.
According to Cavusoglu, Turkiye does not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea: "We say it every time. We expressed our position on the referendum on annexing regions such as Donbas and Kherson and expressed our concern. We said that we will not recognize the results of the referendum."
