The President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, signed a decision on holding the presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14, Report informs via Anadolu.
Erdogan said that the election phase will start on Saturday: "I hope that the decision will be successful for the people and the political elite. We informed the people about holding the elections on May 14 a long time ago. There are several objective reasons why the elections were not held on June 18. One of them is the beginning of Hajj in June. That's why we brought forward the date of the elections."
