Two oil tankers owned by Greek companies have been attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, Report informs, citing Al Jazeera.
The TV channel said a fire broke out on the Kavomaleas, a Malta-flagged vessel owned by Greece's Dynacom Tankers, after an airstrike. The crew was evacuated.
The situation regarding the second tanker is being clarified.
Earlier, the UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said a fire had broken out on board the Kavomaleas north of Oman's Kuzmar area.
According to available information, the vessel had been off the coast of Saudi Arabia for several months and left the Strait of Hormuz on July 2. Its automatic identification system, or AIS, was switched off at the time.
