Russia has disrupted the existing peace order in Europe by starting a war in Ukraine, President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, said at the plenary session of the European Political Community summit in Tiran, Albania, Report informs.
"After World War II, we built a new world order based on the UN Charter, international law, and the expansion of trade and cooperation. This international order was not perfect, but it provided a solid foundation for peace and increasing prosperity, especially in Europe. Today, this order is being comprehensively violated," he said.
