Azerbaijan is interested in the normalization of relations with Armenia, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev said at a meeting with Russian and Iranian officials in Baku, Report informs.
"Azerbaijan has already declared that it is ready to start negotiations on a peace agreement. There is no other alternative than peace for the normalization of the situation in the region, and this can be achieved primarily within the framework of the establishment of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the basis of mutual recognition and respect for each other's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of international borders," he said.
