Holding Climate Week in Baku is an indication of trust in Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists on the sidelines of the high-level opening ceremony of the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku.
Report quotes the minister as saying the event should also be viewed as a continuation of the COP29 legacy.
Bayramov stressed that Baku Climate Week, attended by more than 2,700 participants from 140 countries, will feature more than 60 events covering a wide range of topics.
The minister also noted that Azerbaijan is closely cooperating with Türkiye in connection with the upcoming COP31 in Antalya.
"Azerbaijan will continue this support," he added.
