The transformation of vacant properties in Ukraine is becoming one of the most effective tools for expanding affordable housing, with a relatively high share of funds directed straight to construction, Board Member of Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe IWO eV Knut Höller said during an event held within the framework of WUF13.
Report quotes him as saying that such projects demonstrate a high level of efficiency in the use of funds, where the majority of financing goes directly to construction work.
"Eighty-eight percent of the funding went to construction and only 12% to related expenses. This is a very good indicator and a successful example of project implementation," he said.
