The geographical location and transit potential of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye have strategic importance, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyar Saidov said at a press conference with his Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts in Ankara, Report informs.
He noted that close cooperation in this area will not only ensure stability in cargo transportation but will also lead to the creation of new transport corridors meeting global market needs: "While Türkiye and Azerbaijan currently serve as the 'western gates' of the Middle Corridor, Uzbekistan acts as a strategic point, similar to the ancient Silk Road."
