A new 1,574 MW power plant will be commissioned on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said during a high-level trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Report informs, citing Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry.
Berdimuhamedov noted that the commissioning of the plant will create additional opportunities for supplying electricity to Azerbaijan, as well as for transit to European countries via Azerbaijani territory.
