SOCAR oil refinery in Türkiye (STAR) is planning to increase volumes and refine up to 12 million tons of oil this year.
Report informs citing Anar Mammadov, general director of Petkim complex, which includes STAR, that these volumes made 11.3 million tons in 2022.
According to the general director, the share of the petrochemical complex and SOCAR's oil refinery is declining though production volumes are growing.
"This is due to the rapic pace of growth of Turkish industry," Mammadov said.
He also noted that the STAR refinery will be closed for scheduled repairs for 45-65 days in 2024.
