Azerbaijan starts importing milk and cream from Portugal

In January-April 2024, Azerbaijan imported 4,400 tons of milk and cream worth $6.8 million, 9% more and 24% less, respectively, year-on-year, Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 2,709 tons (+2.6 times) of milk and cream worth $3.7 million (+59%) from Belarus, 725 tons (-63%) worth $1.1 million (-72%) from Iran, 547 tons (+28%) worth $940,000 (+29%) from Russia, 287 tons (+24 %) worth $683,000 (+15%) from Türkiye, and 97 tons (-68%) worth $160,000 (-80%) from Ukraine.

Azerbaijan imported milk and cream from Portugal (0.1 ton worth $600) for the first time in 13 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).
